A national chain with clothes and home goods options is expanding in Michigan.
A new Bealls is on the way to Owosso East Shopping Center at 1425 E Main Street, per a report from The Argus Press. This location was a Family Dollar but was recently acquired by the retailer. Right now, the grand opening is planned for Oct. 23-25.
Locations are known for their deals on apparel like shirts, jeans, shoes, button downs and coats. Beauty products are also sold, like mascara, fragrances and lipstick. Right now, the store is selling clothes for back to school season, as well as backpacks and other apparel.
The company is also planning a store in Clio nearby for 2027, as well as Niles on the west side of the state. Currently, there are more than 650 Bealls stores around the U.S., the closest being in Indiana. The store is headquartered in Florida, and was founded by the Beall family in 1915.
The shopping center is on the north side of E M 21, next to other retail chains like Pet Supplies Plus and Dunham’s Sports. This is across the road from Owosso Community Airport, on the east side of Owosso. The city is just west of Flint and about an hour-and-a-half from Detroit.
