The national grocery store that has been around for almost 60 years is planning growth in metro Detroit.
A new Trader Joe’s is reportedly coming to Farmington Hills at 27658 Middlebelt Road. It follows the trend of the company’s national expansion plans. An opening date has not yet been announced.
The grocery store chain has become a popular option for their bakery, cheeses, dairy section and fresh meats and veggies. Locations sell many plant-based proteins, like their teriyaki flavored organic baked tofu and soy chorizo. Along with grocery items, flowers, plants and tote bags are sold at the stores.
“Most importantly, we offer all of our delicious, quality products at the very best prices. We’re happy to be part of your community, and proud to offer you unique products and an exceptional shopping experience, every day,” says the description on their website about the upcoming location.
The plaza is at the intersection of W 12 Mile Road, and shares the building with Planet Fitness and Hungry Howie’s Pizza. Also at the plaza are The Bank Wedding Venue and Asia Grocers. This is on the east side of Farmington Hills.
Nearest Trader Joe’s locations to the upcoming Farmington Hills one are in Northville at 18771 Traditions Drive and Bloomfield Hills at 6536 Telegraph Road. The company has around nine locations around the Great Lakes State, and also has an upcoming store planned for Lansing.
