Nick The Greek is set to open its fifth Texas location in New Caney. According to a recently filed permit, the new Nick The Greek will open in the Valley Ranch Town Center at 11805 N GRAND PKWY E., STE 200.
Construction on the new Nick The Greek is slated to start towards the end of May and wrap up by mid-September. Co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer for Nick The Greek, Nick Tsigaris, shared with What Now Houston in a brief conversation that the New Caney Nick The Greek will likely open in October.
Tsigaris was unable to share further details about the upcoming opening and Texas expansion by the time of this publication.
Nick The Greek was founded in 2014 in Northern California by cousins Big Nick, Little Nick, and Baby Nick Tsigaris. Following Greek tradition, the family of Nicks is all named for their grandfather, who wanted to share their love of Greek food.
The brand, specializing in gyros and authentic Greek street food, has grown to nearly 100 locations across multiple states, including California, Nevada, Arizona, Texas, Kansas, Missouri, and Utah, with plans for further national expansion. There are four Nick The Greek locations in Texas, with one in the heart of Houston on Westheimer Rd.
Though Nick The Greek began franchising in 2019, Tsigaris said that the New Caney location will be run by the family.
“Everything we do comes with a great sense of pride. Pride in our people, pride in our food, pride in the experience, pride in our operations,” the Nick The Greek website reads.
“Filotimo (filo-ti-mo) is a concept that integrates selflessness, honor, and a sense of duty into day-to-day life. This is our secret ingredient that guides everything we do from how we treat our customers to how we cut our veggies.”
Nick The Greek is anticipated to open in New Caney inside the Valley Ranch Town Center at 11805 N GRAND PKWY E., STE 200 by this fall.
