Wonder is bringing the opportunity to order from celebrity chefs and other iconic menus to Spring. According to a recently filed permit, the Wonder “fast-fine” food and delivery concept is expected to open in the Grand Parkway Marketplace II retail center at 6625 Spring Stuebner Rd.

The permit details that construction on Wonder is slated to start in September and wrap up in November. If all goes well with the estimated one-million-dollar construction project, the new food hall is expected to open by this winter. Construction on a 3,160 square-foot space includes restaurant tenant improvement of the existing vacant space.

“There’s an option for anything you’re craving, from Greek to Thai, with menus from world-famous chefs like Bobby Flay & Marcus Samuelsson,” the Wonder website reads.

“Dine-in or pickup at any of our locations throughout the Northeast, or get your order delivered in minutes. At Wonder, delivery is free.”

And the perks just keep on coming! The New York-based company outlined plans to open two Greater Houston locations! The second space will be at 107 Yale Street in the Washington Avenue corridor near the Heights, according to a recent permit.

Wonder was founded by entrepreneur Marc Lore in 2018. Initially launching with high-end mobile kitchens driving to suburban neighborhoods, Wonder has since evolved into a rapidly expanding chain of brick-and-mortar food halls serving meals from multiple renowned chefs. Now, Lore has his sights set on a huge Texas expansion.

“We’re on a mission to make great food more accessible,” the Wonder website reads.

“We started Wonder with the belief that a remarkable dining experience should be readily available to anyone who wants one.”

There are now more than 70 Wonder Food Hall locations operating throughout the country. The two coming to the Greater Houston region will be the Texas debut.

What Now Houston reached out to Lore and Abdiel Gonzalez. Gonzalez was listed on the permit, but we did not hear back from either Lore or Gonzalez by the time of this publication.
