Workaround Cafe is about to offer something new and fresh to the Greater Houston community. According to a recently filed permit, the new concept is expected to open in the Greater Heights area at 2821 W 11th St., Suite A.
The permit further details that construction on the new Workaround Cafe is planned for a December first start and is slated to wrap up by the end of January 2027. If all goes well with permitting and the estimated $450,000 project, the new Workaround Cafe should open by the beginning of next year.
“Tenant improvement project will create a coffee shop, several different types of seating areas will be provided for different environments,” the permit reads.
The plan is to build a 3,001 square-foot space, so there will be plenty of space to work and enjoy Workaround Cafe’s offerings.
The new cafe will sit in a commercial/retail property in the Greater Heights/Lazybrook-Timbergrove area at the intersection of 11th St. and Ella Blvd, which serves as the home for organizations such as the Vitacca School for Dance.
At the helm of the opening is Jack Heng, who was also listed on the permit. What Now Houston briefly spoke with Heng, who confirmed the opening. Unfortunately, Heng was unable to share further details by the time of this publication.
Because the brand is so fresh and new, within the early development stages, there is no website or social media pages up quite yet. With no online prescene it’s hard to say what exactly the new coffee shop will offer, but we suspect, based on the name, that Workaround Cafe will have a variety of drinks and food to get your day started and keep you energized while working.
