Chloé, a Maison boutique, is set to debut in Houston this fall. According to a press release, Houston’s first Chloé boutique is expected to open in the River Oaks District at 4444 Westheimer Road.
“The new boutique will present the latest collections by Creative Director Chemena Kamali across ready-to-wear, leather goods, shoes, accessories, and eyewear, offering clients an authentic and immersive experience of the Maison’s universe,” the press release announcing the opening reads.
With over two decades of experience, Kemali’s connection to Chloé spans much of her career, having joined the Maison during two defining periods. Kamali later held the position of Women’s Ready-to-Wear Design Director at Saint Laurent before she returned to Chloé as Creative Director in October 2023.
Chloé was founded in 1952 by Gaby Aghion, an Egyptian-born Parisian who liberated women
from the formal fashion of the era by pioneering luxury ready-to-wear.
“A true visionary, Gaby Aghion believed that women should dare to be themselves,” the press release reads.
“Today, the Maison is a leading luxury French fashion house, which continues to embrace the founder’s vision of free-spirited femininity and effortlessness under the creative direction of Chemena Kamali.”
In 1985, the brand was acquired by Alfred Dunhill Ltd., now owned by Richemont. Richemont is hailed for its excellence in jewelry, watches, fashion, and accessories, and is the owner of the prestigious Maisons.
What Now Houston reached out to Richemont CEO for Chloe Americas and the President of the Fashion and Accessories Division, Franck Grandidier, to learn more about the Houston debut and expansion. Unfortunately, we did not hear back from Grandidier by the time this publication was published.
What Now also reached out to Chloé Operations and Planning Manager Julie Cohen, but we did not hear back by the time this publication was issued.
Chloé is anticipated to open in the River Oaks District at 4444 Westheimer Road by this fall.
