Hala Market is planning a big opening in Sugar Land. According to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation permit, Hala Market is expected to open in the First Colony neighborhood at 4127 Highway 6.
The permit details that construction on the new grocery store is already underway and is slated to be completed by mid-July. If all goes well with permitting and the $300,000 construction project, the new Hala Market should be open before the end of summer. The permit outlines the work to be done within the 6,000-square-foot space.
“Interior remodel of single tenant building to convert it from assembly space to retail grocery store with meat shop and coffee bar,” the permit reads.
At the helm of the opening is Fouad El Saadi, who was also listed on the permit. What Now Houston briefly spoke with Saadi, who confirmed the opening but was unable to share further details by the time of publication.
There are a few Hala markets in the Greater Houston region. It’s hard to say which one will be opening the new location. With no website or social media pages readily available, there’s not much information about what’s to come to the First Colony neighborhood in Sugar Land.
However, Hala Market will open in good company. The new market will be near the First Colony Mall and the WYNN Plus entertainment cafe.
We’re sure that as we inch closer towards opening, more information will be revealed. So, keep your eyes open and your ears perked for the latest.
