According to recent reporting in JBJ, Anejo Cocina Mexicana is showing signs of its latest plans.

Citing a recent permit filed in Clay County, the publication reports that the popular Mexican chain hopes to build out a restaurant at 1660 Jeremiah St. off of Old Jennings Road in northeast Middleburg.

The news is notable as four months ago the ownership shut down Anejo Cocina Yulee and Salsa Middleburg at the beginning of December.

Since its debut in Ponte Vedra Beach in May of 2019, ownership expanded the brand’s footprint to nine locations which include five in Northeast Florida, one in Daytona Beach, one in Winter Park and another in Atlanta, Georgia.
