Firehouse Subs is bringing another round of hot subs to St. Johns.
The Jacksonville-founded sandwich chain will open at 1035 Crosswater Parkway, Suite A. The company confirmed the location to What Now Jacksonville, while St. Johns County records also show activity tied to the address.
The new restaurant will give nearby residents another place to grab Firehouse Subs’ made-to-order sandwiches, salads, sides and other menu staples.
Firehouse Subs is known for its steamed subs, which are piled with meats and cheeses before being finished with fresh toppings. The menu includes longtime favorites such as the Hook & Ladder, Firehouse Meatball and New York Steamer, along with a selection of salads, sides and desserts. The chain also offers catering.
The new Crosswater restaurant will join the brand’s existing St. Johns County presence, including its location at 480 Durbin Pavilion Drive in Durbin Pavilion.
Founded in Jacksonville in 1994 by brothers Chris and Robin Sorensen, both former firefighters, Firehouse Subs has grown into a national sandwich chain while maintaining its connection to public safety through the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation.
The foundation was established in 2005 and supports first responders through funding, equipment and educational initiatives.
An opening date has not yet been announced. As construction and permitting progress, additional details about the new Firehouse Subs location are expected to follow.
