Bearded Chef Brunch has built a reputation for “Serving Jacksonville’s favorite brunch classics with bold flavor and Southern hospitality,” offering “Southern Brunch with a Fresh Twist.” Now, Bearded Chef is moving into a new chapter with plans to open a brick-and-mortar restaurant.

This week, What Now came across plan review paperwork submitted by Bearded Chef Brunch LLC for that brick-and-mortar at 1629 University Blvd N in Jacksonville.

The Bearded Chef menu has recently featured dishes like the Wendall Burger (Two 4 oz beef patties, melted cheddar cheese, and fried onion straws topped with homemade tangy bacon jam; served on brioche bun; includes side of hashrounds, fries, or fruit) and the Country Skillet Plate (homemade hashrounds, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, cheddar cheese, green onions, avocado, topped with fresh salsa).

“At The Bearded Chef Brunch, we’re serving up Southern favorites with bold flavors, stacked burgers, loaded hashrounds, cheesy burritos, and brunch creations you won’t find anywhere else,” says a Facebook post published on July 9. “Whether you’re craving something savory, cheesy, loaded, or just downright indulgent, we’ve got your brunch covered.”
