Your next coffee run in Jacksonville could come with a side of puppy cuddles. CuppaPug is bringing its pug-focused cafe concept to Beach Boulevard.

The approximately 2,400-square-foot cafe is planned for 14180 Beach Blvd. and is expected to open in November, according to the Jacksonville Daily Record.

CuppaPug combines a traditional cafe with an experience centered around its resident pugs. Guests will be able to spend time with the dogs during scheduled sessions while enjoying coffee, tea, smoothies and cakes.

The company’s website says the cafe is designed with the dogs’ wellbeing in mind, with dedicated spaces where the pugs can take a break when they need some quiet time.

A Cafe With a Rescue Focus

Rescue is also a major part of the CuppaPug concept. The company operates CuppaPug Rescue, which helps care for surrendered and rescued pugs and works to find them suitable permanent homes. CuppaPug

For the Jacksonville location, CuppaPug plans to work with Pug Rescue of Florida & Georgia, with a portion of sales supporting rescue efforts, according to the news outlet. Adoptable pugs are also expected to be featured at the cafe.

The Jacksonville location will include a retail area with CuppaPug merchandise as well as products from local businesses and artisans.

Reservations are expected to be recommended, though walk-ins will be accepted. An admission fee will apply, with pricing still to be announced.

Founded in London, CuppaPug has expanded its pug cafe concept to several locations, including in the United States. The Jacksonville location will bring the brand’s combination of coffee, dogs and rescue work to the Beach Boulevard area.
