According to recent reporting in JDR, a growing burger chain is soon coming to the area.

The newest location of Habit Burger & Grill site will be found at River City Marketplace next to BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse at 15022 Max Leggett Parkway.

The municipal utility JEA is reportedly reviewing a service availability determination request which was submitted on April 25 for a 2,063-square-foot building with a mobile pickup lane on a 0.8-acre site owned by BJ’s Restaurant, per the report.

The report adds that the restaurant will feature thirty seats and a drive-thru lane that “can stack at least 10 vehicles.” In addition, there will be surface parking for 27 vehicles.

Founded in Santa Barbara, California, in 1969, Habit Burger Grill is a fast-casual chain owned by Taco Bell/Pizza Hut parent company Yum Brands, which purchased Habit for $375 million in March 2020, according to news reports.

The concept serves up chargrilled-style burgers alongside a California cuisine-influenced menu.
