Brooklyn Pizza is bringing its pies to a new part of Jacksonville, with the local pizzeria preparing to open a second location in the Riverside area.
The restaurant is planned for 200 Riverside Avenue, Suite 1, at Vista Brooklyn, a mixed-use development near Riverside Avenue and Jackson Street. A restaurant plan for the new location was filed September 1 and remains in process.
The new restaurant will expand Brooklyn Pizza beyond its existing location at 13820 Old St. Augustine Road, giving the Jacksonville business a presence closer to Downtown and Riverside.
Brooklyn Pizza is known for New York-style and Sicilian pizza, with its existing Jacksonville restaurant serving oversized slices and whole pies. The menu also includes calzones, wings, salads and other casual Italian-American fare.
The Riverside location has been in the works for several months. In March, Brooklyn Pizza was announced as one of two new businesses signing leases at Vista Brooklyn, joining The Vital Stretch at the 10-story mixed-use property. At the time, the businesses were expected to open during 2026.
Vista Brooklyn includes 308 luxury apartment units and ground-floor retail space. Brooklyn Pizza will join businesses including The Greenhouse Bar, Degree Wellness, The Vital Stretch and NAI Hallmark at the development.
The restaurant’s arrival will put Brooklyn Pizza within the growing Riverside and Downtown dining scene, with the new space located just off Riverside Avenue and close to the St. Johns River.
The September filing lists the project as Brooklyn Pizza Bar and shows it as a seated restaurant project, indicating the new location is moving through the permitting process.
For Brooklyn Pizza, the new restaurant will mark another step in the local business’ expansion while bringing its New York-style and Sicilian pies to a new Jacksonville neighborhood.
An opening date for the Riverside location has not yet been announced.
