Whit’s Frozen Custard is moving to a new location — just down the road from its existing shop.

The frozen custard shop announced it’s moving to a “sweet new spot” on Instagram, noting, “our Mandarin location will soon have a new home at 10131 San Jose Boulevard, Ste 16 Jacksonville, FL 32257. Construction is already underway, and we’re planning to open the doors in February 2026!”

According to the same post, the current location (11362 San Jose Boulevard) will remain open until the new shop is ready. In addition, it was noted that all staff will be moving, too: “Don’t worry, your favorite team members will be making the move with us! They’re just as excited as we are to bring Whit’s to this brand-new space”.

Whit’s Frozen Custard was founded in Granville, Ohio in 2003. It’s famous for its made-fresh daily custard that has a higher butterfat content and lower air volume than regular ice cream, resulting in a rich, creamy texture.

Custards are offered in classic vanilla and chocolate, along with a weekly rotating flavor. In addition to scoops, cones, shakes, and sundaes, Whit’s serves two special treats. Whitsers, a blend of several custard flavors and toppings; and Whitties, a sandwich of frozen custard between two cookies.
