Oakwell Beer Spa is coming to the Las Vegas Valley! The Colorado-based social wellness brand recently announced the signing of its first franchisee agreement via a press release, as reported by the Las Vegas Review-Journal’s Neon BlogHusband-and-wife duo Andrew and Gina Lanzino of Las Vegas will develop the local Oakwell Beer Spa as franchisees and are currently scouting locations in the Arts District.

“Andrew and Gina are exactly the kind of partners we hoped to find as we opened Oakwell Beer Spa to franchising,” Co-Founder and CEO of Oakwell Beer Spa, Jessica Zouaoui, said in the press release.

“They understand that this business is built on hospitality first, and they bring the strategic discipline and people skills to deliver it. Las Vegas is a market that demands excellence, and we trust them to set the standard for every franchisee who follows.”

The agreement marks a significant milestone for Oakwell, which has spent the past several years building a devoted following in the Greater Denver area around a first-of-its-kind concept: a hospitality-driven, technology-enabled wellness experience that combines private
hydrotherapy and sauna experiences with a social food and beverage component.

What Now Las Vegas reached out to Lanzino and Zouaoui to find out more details about the upcoming expansion. Unfortunately, we did not hear back from either by the time of this publication, but their team reached out with additional details.

“Oakwell Beer Spa is the best of both worlds,” Gina said in the press release.

“It’s a place where Andrew and I can spend time relaxing and connecting in an environment that feels designed for both of us. That’s rare, and I think a lot of couples in this city are going to feel the same way.”

Oakwell Beer Spa was founded in Denver, Colorado, in February 2021 by the husband-and-wife team Jessica and Damien Zouaoui. The founders quit their jobs, sold their belongings, and spent 14 months traveling across 25 countries to find a unique hospitality concept to bring to the U.S. During a rainy afternoon in the Polish Alps/Poland, they visited a local beer spa and experienced soaking in hops and barley while enjoying draft beer. The concept itself is rooted in centuries-old European bathing traditions—particularly in the Czech Republic, where the first modern commercial beer spa opened in 1981.

Originally launched as “The Beer Spa,” the business later rebranded to Oakwell Beer Spa. After overcoming pandemic-era hurdles and initial bank rejections, they opened their flagship Denver location and later expanded to a second corporate location in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, creating the perfect addition to Las Vegas’ relaxation market.

“I’ve spent years working on the biggest events this city puts on, and what I’ve learned is that Las Vegas runs at full speed around the clock,” Andrew said in the press release.

“The world is stressful, everyone has packed too much into their schedules, and most people don’t have many places to go that aren’t another bar, restaurant, or gym. We want to give them somewhere to slow down, reconnect, and genuinely relax. That’s what drew us to Oakwell.”

Prior to Oakwell Beer Spa, the Air Force veteran spent more than 20 years as a corporate strategist, most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Strategy & Citywide Events at MGM Resorts International, where he helped bring major events to life, including Super Bowl LVIII, the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix, and New Year’s Eve on the Strip.

The Lanzinos are now evaluating locations for their first Oakwell Beer Spa, with a particular focus on the Las Vegas Arts District – one of the city’s most dynamic neighborhoods for residents and visitors seeking an authentic Las Vegas experience beyond the Strip.

“As longtime Las Vegas residents, we know that some of the city’s most exciting experiences happen off the Strip,” Andrew said.

“The Arts District is walkable, full of character, and home to the kind of independently owned businesses that create lasting connections with guests. We can easily envision Oakwell becoming part of that fabric.”

Las Vegas is only the beginning for the wellness brand, which is looking into franchise expansion in markets across the country,
including Phoenix, Austin, Atlanta, Detroit, Boston, Kansas City, and Charleston.

“When we started Oakwell, we weren’t just trying to build a spa,” Co- Founder and Chief Growth Officer Damien Zouaoui said in the press release.

“We wanted to create a hospitality concept that guests would love and that operators could easily scale. Andrew and Gina embody everything we were looking for in our first franchise partners. They care deeply about their community and share our vision for what Oakwell can become as we expand across the country.”

No word just yet on when exactly the first Las Vegas Oakwell Beer Spa will open or when the grand opening will happen. But we’re sure as we inch closer to opening, that more will be revealed. So keep your ears perked and your eyes peeled for the latest.

Oakwell Beer Spa is anticipated to debut in Las Vegas in the Arts District in the near future.
