Rally’s is bringing its beloved burgers and well-seasoned fries to North Las Vegas. Signs for the new fast-food eatery are already in place as construction wraps up on Craig Road. The new Rally’s is expected to open at 4360 West Craig Road.

LV Petroleum is at the helm of this opening. Sr. Vice President of Food and Franchise Brands for the company, Jeanette L. Davis, shared with What Now Las Vegas that the plan is to open the new Rally’s this fall.

“I selected my Rally’s location by looking at the complete trade area and determining whether it matched the Rally’s customer and operating model. Of course, we considered a lot more, since we are also building a Charly’s, a C-store with a Sbarro pizza, Bojangles, and a Black Bear Diner all on that corner,” Davis said.

“I chose Rally’s because it is a proven, recognizable brand with a straightforward operating model and a product lineup that customers understand and crave.”

Rally’s was founded in 1984 in Tennessee and opened its first restaurant in Louisville, Kentucky, in January 1985 by Jim Patterson. Rally’s focuses on a 1950s drive-in style with two drive-thru lanes and walk-up windows, omitting indoor seating to cut building and operating costs. Between 1990 and 1992, the brand expanded rapidly by absorbing Maxie’s Better Burgers, Snapps Drive-Thru, and Zipps Drive-Thru. But that rapid expansion led to high costs, closures, and financial strain in the mid-1990s.

“Staffing and leadership development are also ongoing challenges,” Davis said of the Las Vegas openings and stores.

“Finding the right people is important, but developing strong General Managers and field leaders who understand both operations and financial performance is what ultimately drives long-term success.”

In 1996, CKE Restaurants, parent of Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s, purchased Rally’s. CKE sold Rally’s to Checkers Drive-In Restaurants, which was founded in Mobile, Alabama, in 1986. The two brands merged in August 1999.

There are now around 300 to 350 standalone Rally’s locations, operating as part of the combined Checkers and Rally’s brand network of over 1,280 total restaurants across the United States. There are seven operating Rally’s (and Checkers-branded) locations in Nevada, with six in the Las Vegas Valley and one in Pahrump. The upcoming Craig Road opening would be the first Rally’s in North Las Vegas.

What Now also reached out to Rally’s Sr. Manager of Franchise Development, Eileen Himber, to find out more about expansion plans. But we did not hear back by the time of this publication.

“Rally’s is a bold, value-driven fast-food burger spot. Great burgers and known for their fries!! All at a great price,” Davis said.

“What I hope to bring to the community goes far beyond serving great food. I want our Rally’s restaurants to become businesses that the community can count on—providing jobs, developing future leaders, supporting local organizations, and creating opportunities for people to grow.”

Menu highlights include the Big Buford®, one of Rally’s signature burgers and a core brand item; the Baconzilla!®, a large, bacon-forward cheeseburger designed around the brand’s over-the-top positioning; and the famous Seasoned Fries, arguably Rally’s most recognizable menu item: crispy, seasoned fries that give the brand a strong point of differentiation from traditional burger chains.

Try it all out for yourself when the new Rally’s opens in North Las Vegas at 4360 West Craig Road this fall.
