Visual Comfort is working on its second Las Vegas Valley showroom. According to a recent press release, the upscale designer lighting retailer and showroom brand is planning to open in The Cliff in Henderson.
“My family has been developing in Henderson for more than 20 years, and we know this corridor and the demand here firsthand,” Devon Sansone, principal of VAC Development, the company behind the retail center build, said in the press release.
“Henderson is home to more than 340,000 residents but only roughly 195,000 square feet of Class A retail — a fraction of what comparable submarkets offer per resident. The Cliff is built to close that gap.”
VAC Development has broken ground on The Cliff, a $100M transformation of a 10-acre, 100,000-square-foot office property in Green Valley Ranch. Construction officially began September 1, with delivery to tenants targeted for Q2 2027. Visual Comfort and Co. is one of the tenants and is slated to open a 3,161-square-foot store.
“This next wave of tenants is sharpening The Cliff’s identity by bringing in premium, flagship-caliber retail that shapes Green Valley Ranch as a destination, not just a suburb,” Steve Neiger, managing broker at CAST Capital Partners, said in the press release.
“The brands coming to The Cliff see the same opportunity we do. And this is just the next wave, not the last. We’re already in lease negotiations with several cult-favorite apparel brands, while having conversations with direct-to-consumer brands about opening a brick-and-mortar location in Henderson.”
What Now Las Vegas reached out to Visual Comfort’s Regional Operations Manager Jennifer Harpe to find out more about the expansion. Unfortunately, we did not hear back by the time of this publication.
Visual Comfort & Co. was founded in 1987 by former lighting salesman Andy Singer in his garage in Houston, Texas. Singer started Visual Comfort & Co. building lamps on nights and weekends. He focused on hand-applied finishes, solid materials, and distinct proportions. Early collaborations with brands like Bill Blass and Ralph Lauren, starting in 1999, established the company’s focus on high-profile designer collections. Over the decades, the brand partnered with leading designers like Thomas O’Brien, Kelly Wearstler, E.F. Chapman, and Aerin Lauder.
What Now also reached out to Singer to find out what we can expect at the new Henderson location. But we did not hear back by the time of this publication.
“We’ve always embraced change as part of our company culture,” Singer said about a brand unification in 2023 posted on the company’s website.
“While we have had amazing growth, we want to continuously innovate and see all our customers and partners benefit alongside us. Now feels like the right time to set a bold new vision under a singular brand experience.”
Andy’s sister, Gale Singer, founded Circa Lighting in Savannah, Georgia, in 1998 as a boutique-style showroom retailer. It became the premier reseller of Visual Comfort products. AEA Investors acquired a stake in Visual Comfort in 2017 and combined it with Generation Brands. In 2023, Circa Lighting and all other subsidiary brands were unified under the single name Visual Comfort & Co., merging wholesale and direct e-commerce operations into one platform. There are now more than 60 Visual Comfort showroom locations internationally, with one in Las Vegas on Grand Central Pkwy.
What Now also reached out to Visual Comfort and Co. Operations Manager, Denise Galindo, to find out more about upcoming expansion plans. But we did not hear back by the time of this publication.
Visual Comfort is anticipated to open within the new The Cliff retail center in Henderson within Green Valley Ranch at 2550 Paseo Verde Parkway by next Spring.
