A recently opened Oxnard concept is expanding to San Pedro’s waterfront development. According to public filings, CARNE, the Latin fire steakhouse that opened this summer in Oxnard, is planning a second location at West Harbor in San Pedro, at 1332 South Harbor Boulevard, Suite 160.

CARNE firts opened in July 2o26. The Latin steakhouse is built around live-fire cooking, with a menu that includes wood-grilled skirt steak tacos. Inspired by the traditions of Argentina, Mexico, Spain, and the Caribbean. Every ingredient is selected with purpose and prepared with restraint, allowing smoke, citrus, charcoal, and vibrant regional flavors to shine, according to the website.

What Now Los Angeles reached out to Freddy Braidi, listed as the applicant, to inquire about the new project and a possible opening timeline but did not hear back before publication. Braidi is the CEO and president of Boulevard Hospitality Group, the Los Angeles-based company that owns CARNE alongside Yamashiro Miami Hospitality Group.

In an interview with the VC Star, he said he saw potential for the concept to expand into other markets, including Miami. CARNE has since announced plans to bring the brand to West Harbor in San Pedro.

Braidi is also known for his work with Yamashiro, the historic Hollywood Hills restaurant, and has separately discussed bringing that brand to West Harbor. What Now Los Angeles first reported on the Yamashiro expansion in 2021, when the project was still expected to open by 2023 under co-owner Elie Samaha.

This outlet has also tracked other West Harbor tenants, including Bark Social, a dog-friendly beer garden and social club that made its West Coast debut at the development.
