Palisades business Loomey’s Toys opened in the Pacific Palisades in 2022 at 833 Via de la Paz, but fire damage in 2025 forced owner Amanda Rastegar to shutter that location. Now, Rastegar is bringing Loomey’s Toys back to the community at the Palisades Village, which is preparing to reopen for the first time since the 2025 fires.
Rastegar confirmed the return in a brief phone call with What Now Los Angeles but could not provide additional information prior to the time of publication. A recent social media post teased the forthcoming location, with Rastegar sharing that she had received the keys to the future home of Loomey’s at the Palisades Village.
“After everything our Pali community has been through, I’m incredibly grateful to share that Loomey’s is coming home,” Rastegar wrote. “We’ll be reopening in the Palisades Village, and while there’s still a lot of work ahead, we couldn’t wait to share this moment with all of you. To our Pali families, we know everyone’s journey has looked different. Wherever you are, we hope Loomey’s can once again be a place that brings a little comfort, a little joy and a familiar feeling of home.”
The toy store is expected to reopen on Nov. 1, according to the business’s Instagram page.
Loomey’s also opened a Laguna Beach location last April following the fires that forced the closure of the original Palisades location. That location will remain open, as well.
The Palisades Village will officially reopen on Aug. 15, reviving tenants such as Elyse Walker, Erewhon, Brunello Cucinelli, Zimmermann, Veronica Beard and Blue Ribbon Sushi. There will also be additions, including Italian steakhouse Spacca Tutto, women’s apparel brand LETSET, Los Angeles brand Violet Grey, local apparel brand Xirena and fellow Palisades business K Bakery.
