Late last year, What Now Memphis reported that Chick-fil-A was planning a new restaurant in Northeast Memphis, though the exact location had not yet been determined. Now, the address has been selected, and construction is officially underway.
Franchisee Matt Pruitt confirmed that the new Chick-fil-A will be located at 6730 Raleigh LaGrange Rd, just north of the Walmart near Whitten Road.
Spanning approximately 5,900 square feet, the standalone eatery will sit on a formerly vacant lot, according to permits filed with the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development. The restaurant could offer more than 28 patio seats, 100 indoor seats, and 105 parking spaces, with an estimated project cost of $2 million.
Known for its high-quality chicken sandwiches and exceptional customer service, Chick-fil-A operates more than 3,000 locations nationwide, with nearly 20 in the Memphis area. In addition to its signature chicken-centric fare, the Georgia-based franchise serves a variety of salads, sides, and milkshakes.
While the project is still in its early stages and subject to change, the new location is currently slated to open on August 28, 2025, said Pruitt.
