A beloved restaurant chain and sandwich shop is preparing to mount a Jonesboro comeback. McAlister’s Deli has great aspirations to return to the area following the closure of its South Caraway Road location, reports Jonesboro Right Now.

If all goes according to plan, McAlister’s will be built on a plot of land located at 2024 Fair Park Boulevard. Developer Prateek Gera states that he has a contract pending with Turnkey Investments and owner David Kearbey for the sale of the land. He explains: “We expect the deal to close in three months or so. David is anxious to get this project built and open.”

Kearbey brings knowledge and experience to the table; he already owns and operates three McAlister’s storefronts.

Locals are already expressing considerable enthusiasm about the deli chain’s return to the area. McAlister’s has built a devoted following through its delicious sandwiches, fresh salads, and giant loaded baked potatoes.
