A popular Memphis dining and late-night destination appears to have set its sights on a new storefront. The team behind local staple Krave Kitchen has filed papers for a new location, listed as Krave Social.
A certificate of occupancy under review by the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development as of June 22 shows that Krave is aiming to turn 2818 Coleman Road into its newest home-and one of the hottest spots in town.
The storefront is poised to provide Krave with 4,200 square feet of space.
The establishment is categorized only as “restaurant” on the paperwork, however locals know that Krave has made a name for itself as one of the most desirable tickets in town. The concept’s social media describes what makes it so appealing to the community, saying: “We are a Black owned establishment…we aim to satisfy all our customers needs, bringing you a taste like no other late night dine-in restaurant.”
It is unclear at this point whether Krave’s new home will differ in any significant ways from other locations; What Now Memphis has reached out to ownership for further information and will update readers as details emerge. However, if the restaurant’s existing storefronts are any indicator, future regulars can look forward to a menu full of delicious bar food including wings, catfish, and fries, alongside reasonably priced drink specials.
