A Memphis-area hospitality power couple is getting ready to launch their next endeavor. Thomas and Treshina Brownlee are planning to open a unique and mature concept called Novel Social Club later this summer, reports the Memphis Business Journal.
The establishment-which promises “kitchen, cocktails, nightlife”-will be taking over the space at 115 Vance Avenue that housed WKND Hang Suite until its closure on May 31 of this year. Novel Social Club currently has a certificate of occupancy under review with the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development which shows that the sophisticated bar and eatery will span 4,487 square feet and will have an occupant load of 99.
Novel Social Club will bring something truly distinctive and incredibly memorable to Memphis nightlife. The concept will be welcoming visitors between 30 and 60 years of age to an elevated evening of live music and dishes inspired by Chicago and New Orleans.
Thomas Brownlee describes his plans for Novel Social Club, saying: “I’m going to do the same thing that we’re doing everywhere else. I’m going to give people the big-city Memphis feel. It’s going to be 30 and up, a very classy, swanky place.”
An opening date is not yet available for Novel Social Club, however the establishment is on track to welcome guests later this summer.
