University Plaza, the retail center located on the northeast corner of Sunset Strip and North University Drive in Fort Lauderdale, looks to be getting a new sweets-focused restaurant. Plan review paperwork was submitted for a restaurant project called Sugar Bae at 8253 Sunset Strip.

The paperwork was submitted by Suzie Cuisine, LLC, which is itself behind Suzie’s Cuisine, a caterer and event planner in Oakland Park.

What Now reached out to owner Suzie Ysmera to inquire about plans for the Sugar Bae project. Ysmera was not immediately available for comment.

This leaves us guessing on the menu offerings Sugar Bae would be bringing to the table. From the name, we’re guessing it’s something sweet.

Opening in University Plaza, Sugar Bae would join a restaurant community that includes Dutch Pot Restaurant, Pho 75, and Pikliz Resto.
