Sonia’s Flowers has been in business at 21100 S Dixie Highway in Miami for about 20 years, and now it’s preparing to move into a new phase of its life. A new Cuban cafe and cafeteria is launching soon at the address. Its name? Cafe Sonia.

“It’s going to be a lot of Cuban flavors, with a special menu for breakfast,” Sonia, the flower shop’s (and now the cafe’s) longtime owner told What Now on Tuesday. “It’s a $6.99 breakfast, I especially want people to know that, because no one has a $6.99 breakfast anymore.”

Launching in this location near the Marathon Gas Station at the intersection with Southwest 117th Avenue, Cafe Sonia will also be serving up sandwiches, wings, pork, rice and beans, fries, and a variety of favorites from Cuban cuisine.

Launching across from Walmart, Cafe Sonia will be one of several restaurants situated near the Dixie-117th intersection, joining Wendy’s, Taco Bell, and Managuita Restaurant.

No opening date has been set yet for Cafe Sonia, but keep an eye out: it’s coming soon.
