The culinary team behind West Palm Beach restaurants Petanque and French Grill House are preparing to open a new restaurant this fall. Culinary partners Frederic Boyer, Edouard Delrieu, and Olivier Delrieu will launch Celona, a new tapas concept, at 429 Northwood Road, next door to French Grill House.

“Celona will have any kind of tapas you can find in Spain, but we want to do a bit more,” Chef Frederic Boyer told What Now on Friday.

The menu will feature fifteen to twenty small plates to choose from, with these choices constantly changing to keep the menu fresh. Celona will also offer paella and an extended crafted cocktail menu based on gin and other spirits.

“I don’t like to be stuck with one thing,” Boyer said.

Celona will open in a space that seats about 50 guests and is designed to be comfortable, sporting a pool table and a relaxed atmosphere meant to appeal to locals. There will also be special events, live music, and other fun happenings.

“We want it to be a cool place,” said the chef. “Comfortable, with lots of people from the neighborhood.”
