Renaissance Hotel Ottawa Downtown, a lifestyle hotel from RIMAP Hospitality Services Inc., is getting ready to open in downtown Ottawa in 2027.
The upcoming hotel was highlighted as part of RIMAP Hospitality’s announcement celebrating the opening of Moxy Ottawa Downtown, according to a press release. While additional details, including a more specific opening timeline, have not yet been announced, the Renaissance property will mark the company’s next major hospitality project in the capital. It follows the opening of AC Hotel by Marriott Ottawa Downtown in 2025 and Moxy Ottawa Downtown in 2026. Customers can expect on-site restaurants and bars that align with the Renaissance brand’s focus on locally inspired dining and social experiences.
Founded in 2007, Montreal-based RIMAP Hospitality Services Inc. manages a growing portfolio of Marriott, Hilton, and IHG-branded hotels across Canada. The company has continued to expand its relationship with Marriott International through several new developments, including its recent projects in downtown Ottawa. The Renaissance Hotel represents the next phase of that investment as RIMAP continues growing its presence in the city’s hospitality market.
While restaurant concepts for the Renaissance Hotel have not yet been announced, food and beverage offerings are expected to play a central role in the property. Renaissance hotels are known for full-service restaurants, bars, and gathering spaces that appeal to both travelers and local customers. Additional details about the hotel’s dining program are expected as the project moves closer to opening.
The Renaissance Hotel will build on the momentum created by the recent debut of Moxy Ottawa Downtown, which officially welcomed its first customers this month. The newly opened hotel features Moxy Bar, a restaurant and social venue serving breakfast, dinner, handcrafted cocktails, and a calendar of events that includes live DJs, themed nights, and games. Together, the two projects reflect RIMAP’s continued focus on lifestyle hospitality in downtown Ottawa.
This will be an excellent addition to Ottawa’s hospitality scene as the city continues to attract new hotels, restaurants, and entertainment venues. Once complete, Renaissance Hotel Ottawa Downtown will further expand RIMAP’s footprint in the capital while introducing another destination for accommodations, dining, and social gatherings.
