The family behind a popular sushi restaurant and a popular ramen restaurant in Baton Rouge is preparing to open an all-you-can-eat Japanese restaurant in Ascension Parish called Shokudo: Premium AYCE. Located in a former Japanese restaurant at 217 N. Airline Hwy. in Gonzales, the new restaurant will not be a buffet. Instead, customers will order rounds of made-to-order sushi and other Japanese dishes. Customers won’t be limited by the number of dishes they can order, but they will have a limit on how long they can stay. According to Daily Report, the restaurant will open in late spring or early summer.

The Wong family behind the new all-you-can-eat concept recently relocated and expanded their popular Boru Ramen restaurant in Baton Rouge to include an arcade concept filled with claw machine games. The family’s Sweet Society dessert shop is also attached to the new Boru Ramen location.
