Structural renovations have been approved for a cafe set to open at 200 N Galvez St., at the corner of Iberville, one block from Canal Street. Building owner Roscoe Wells has confirmed to What Now New Orleans that he is planning a cafe concept, but was not prepared to offer additional details. The renovated building will have a new kitchen, roof, and ADA bathroom, according to permit documents. The coffee shop appears to be primarily a takeout operation, with a walk-up service window.

The building that is undergoing renovations had been home to Star Lock & Key, which has been in business for more than 80 years. The locksmith company is currently located in Metairie.
