Born in Lake Charles, Blazin’ Hot Chicken is continuing its expansion with an upcoming location planned for Broussard, in Lafayette Parish. Located in a major corridor at 240 Albertson Pkwy., the upcoming spot will be in a former Wendy’s that is connected to a gas station. It follows a pattern of similar locations for the chain. An opening date has not been announced, and What Now New Orleans has reached out for more information.

Blazin’ Hot Chicken currently has five locations across Louisiana, including one on Canal Street in New Orleans. It stands out from the crowd by offering optional spice levels so hot that they come with a waiver. While Hot Ones-level heat may grab headlines, the restaurant mostly gets kudos for the quality of its hot chicken sandwiches, sliders, and tenders.
