Former Rally’s on St. Claude Set to Become a Fast Seafood Spot

Hook an Ladder will reuse the existing drive-thru

After sitting vacant for a few months, a former Rally’s location on St. Claude Avenue is set to become a fast seafood restaurant called Hook an Anchor, according to permit filings with the City of New Orleans. The owners are taking a turnkey approach to the vacant building and not performing major renovations. Work to the building at 2371 Saint Claude Ave. will primarily consist of a fresh coat of paint to remove graffiti. Permit documents revealed that Hook An Ladder will reuse the existing drive-thru. Rally’s has closed several New Orleans-area locations over the past year or so, including the one set to become Hook an Anchor. The company behind Rally’s and sister brand Checkers has said that it is closing stores due to changing dining habits that occurred during the pandemic.
