Bar à Part is opening its doors in New York City this month. The wine bar and cafe will bring a new dining experience to the West Village. It will also add to the city’s growing culinary landscape.
Bar à Part Is Opening in New York City
Bar à Part is a new dining destination opening at 72 Bedford Street in the West Village on September 28 at 4 p.m. The opening of this wine bar and cafe comes after more than a year of planning. The concept comes from the team behind Zimmi’s, which is a French bistro next door.
According to an Eater New York report, Zimmi’s chef Maxime Pradié, Jenni Guizio, and wine director Cory Holt planned this concept, which was announced in 2025. The original plan called for a 15-seat wine bar operating at night, with the possibility of adding daytime coffee and pastries.
Bar à Part is essentially a companion concept to Zimmi’s. While Zimmi’s offers an extensive wine list and French cuisine, Bar à Part is intended to be a much smaller, more casual setting.

What the Concept Will Offer
According to Eater New York, Clodagh Manning will lead Bar à Part’s pastry program. The Ireland native previously worked at London’s Lyle, which is now closed. Manning’s pastry work is already a part of Zimmi’s experience and will also be featured at Bar à Part.
A report by The Infatuation included Bar à Part on its list of NYC’s most anticipated restaurant openings of 2026. The report described the plan as a small cafe combining small plates, a deep wine program, and sweet and savory pastries.
Bar à Part will bring a compact wine bar and cafe concept to New York City’s West Village. The new spot will offer a more casual companion to neighboring Zimmi’s.
