Beacon Falls Cafe at 472 Main Street in Beacon, New York, has announced that it is closing. The American Bistro is known for its breakfast, brunch, burgers, and American comfort food.
In a social media post, the restaurant announced that it will close October 3. The owners, Bob and Linda Nevelus, announced that they will retire. The couple reflected on their years in business and thanked customers for their support.
The couple said the decision was difficult but also marked the beginning of retirement.
Beacon Falls Cafe is known as a cozy, welcoming spot on Beacon’s Main Street dining scene. Its menu includes breakfast items like eggs Benedict, omelets, and pancakes; entrees including steak frites, beer-braised beef, salmon, and more. The cafe also offers burgers, sandwiches, appetizers like calamari, wings, and mussels, and desserts.

About the Cafe
According to a Daily Voice, Nevelus pursued culinary training while working as a Sleepy Hollow police officer before opening the cafe. He later opened Beacon Falls Cafe with his wife, Linda, around 2009.
Nevelus described the restaurant as a family-oriented, neighborhood place where customers and staff could get to know one another. The couple emphasized personal service and creating a comfortable, homey atmosphere.
