Pei Shan Wei, co-owner of the Michelin-recognized Thai spot Zaab Zaab, is preparing to open a café in the East Village. According to a filing with the city, Wei is seeking a full liquor license for a concept called Lanna Café Inc. The restaurant will have a full food menu and be located on both the ground floor and basement levels at 164 1st Ave. An opening date has not been announced, and What Now New York has reached out for more information.
