Giuseppe and The Lion, an Italian–sushi fusion restaurant, permanently closed on May 24, 2026. The closure came without prior notice, with diners sharing reactions on social media.

Giuseppe and The Lion Ristorante Closes After Five Years

Giuseppe and The Lion is located at 1585 Pine Ridge Rd, Suite 5, in Naples. The restaurant announced its farewell through social media on May 24, citing, “Giuseppe and The Lion Ristorante is officially closing as of today, after five unforgettable years.”

Over five years, the restaurant became known locally for its food, live music, entertainment, and events. It was known for serving Italian food like bruschetta, Italian wedding soup, garlic bread, pasta, pizza, and spaghetti.

The menu featured other items such as seafood dishes, Asian appetizers, sushi, salad, poke bowls, wine, and cocktails. From family dinners and celebrations to everyday visits, the wide menu offered something for everyone.

In the closure announcement, the restaurant team thanked artists, musicians, and entertainers for bringing energy and talent to the space.

Founder Joseph Sutherland shared a heartfelt message, stating, “Giuseppe and The Lion has been far more than a business to me. It has been a second home, shaped by the dedication of our staff, the loyalty of our patrons, and the warmth of the community around us. Thank you for everything. Every dinner, celebration, song, performance, and shared moment helped make Giuseppe and The Lion what it became.”
