Maestro’s Announces Closure After Two Years in Business
On Monday, May 25, 2026, Maestro’s owners announced the permanent closure of the restaurant. Maestro’s an Italian restaurant in Quincy owned by Steve and Billy Goodwin, opened in 2024.
The owners said ongoing industry changes made it difficult to continue operating the restaurant. The owners thanked their patrons for their support through the challenges of the last few years.
Steve and Billy Goodwin previously spent 26 years as employees at Tiramisu, which is an acclaimed Italian restaurant in Quincy. After Tiramisu’s owner relocated to Florida, they opened Maestro’s as a tribute to their former boss.
Community Reactions to the News
Steve and Billy Goodwin reminisced about the memories shared with their patrons at Maestro’s. They thanked all those who made Maestro’s a part of their celebrations and weekly routines. Customers filled the comments section with memories and messages of support following the announcement.
One Facebook user wrote,” So sorry, guys. We always loved seeing you, and the food was delicious. Maybe you could continue to serve the delicious food via a food truck? I have no idea what goes into making Italian food, so that could be a silly thought, but the food, especially my fave (the pizza!!), was on point!!”
“We wish we had dined with you more. Maestro’s was the only place in Quincy we went for Italian cuisine. Your dishes were the best in our opinion. We will truly miss you. God bless you both,” wrote another Facebook user.
During its two-year run, Maestro’s developed a loyal following in Quincy. The closure marks the end of a restaurant that became part of many local celebrations and family gatherings.
