A longtime favorite American Chinese restaurant has closed its Newport Beach location. P.F. Chang’s at Fashion Island shopping center served its final meal two days ago, after 32 years of service. The restaurant was popularly known for serving classic Asian-inspired dishes.
P.F. Chang’s Closes Fashion Island Location
Founded in 1993, P.F. Chang’s China Bistro is a global restaurant chain and offers a casual dining experience. The restaurant chain is a community favorite for serving American Chinese cuisine and other Asian-inspired dishes.
Located at 1145 Newport Center Drive, the P.F. Chang’s at Fashion Island in Newport Beach has permanently closed. The closure was first shared by Newport Beach real estate agent Jeff Butcher on Instagram.
In the post, Butcher said the Fashion Island location had closed after more than three decades of operation. “Sadly, their wonderful employees only learned of the closing this morning,” stated the post. The post stated that employees learned about the closure the same morning the restaurant shut down.
He added, “Many new restaurants are coming to the area, so hopefully the PF Chang crew all land on their feet.”
According to a New York Post report, red and white ‘permanently closed’ signs were posted on the restaurant doors.
