Voted as “Top 3 Sushi & Japanese Restaurant” by the Community Awards 2025, Otori Sushi is slated to open its second location in Riverside County. The Asian concept called Otori Sushi & Handroll may debut at 40101 Monterey Ave #G2, Rancho Mirage, during August, according to owner Jinho Choi.

In an interview with What Now Media, he indicated that the new location will likely showcase a lineup of Otori’s classic dishes, including the Bluefin Tuna Tataki, a lightly seared preparation of premium tuna, typically served thinly sliced with a citrus-forward or soy-based sauce. The dish remains a staple on the menu and a reflection of the restaurant’s approach to fresh, carefully crafted cuisine.

The Yellowtail Carpaccio will also be among the offerings, featuring the fish’s most tender and succulent cuts, thinly sliced and drizzled with savory ponzu sauce. Finished with sliced jalapeños and a touch of olive oil, the dish delivers a balanced combination of brightness and richness. Guests can also opt for variations made with salmon, albacore, or tuna.

Although the restaurateur assured that Otori’s signature dishes will continue to be featured, he acknowledged that new additions may be on the way, adding that he is “thinking about some changes.”
