Fogo de Chão, the renowned Brazilian steakhouse, is set to open a new location in Rancho Cucamonga, at 12240 Foothill Blvd., according to construction documents. The restaurant will take over the old Johnny Carino’s Italian joint near Victoria Gardens.
Records show that the work to be done includes renovating the 8,257-square-foot space, with extensive upgrades such as new exterior wall finishes, interior finishes, a patio, a bar feature, kitchen equipment, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. Construction valuation is listed as approximately $1.5 million.
The restaurant will have a maximum occupancy of 329 guests. Innovation & Design in Architecture, Villa Lighting, New Ridge Engineering, IMG, and AEQ Consulting are all listed as firms that are partners on the project.
This expansion is part of the company’s aggressive growth strategy, with Verdict Food Service reporting Fogo de Chão plans to open 15 new locations across the U.S. in 2025. The Rancho Cucamonga restaurant will be the first Fogo de Chão in the Inland Empire, joining the closest Southern California locations in Brea, Irvine, and Huntington Beach.
