Founded in 2016, Viet-Nomz has been voted #1 Best Vietnamese, #2 Best Pho, and #2 Best East Orlando Restaurant by Orlando Weekly. The restaurant’s popular fast-casual Vietnamese fare has led it to expand to a second and third location—and now, it’s preparing to launch its fourth.
Viet-Nomz is headed to Winter Park, where it will open at 1330 N Orange Ave.
“We’re aiming for the beginning of August,” co-owner Philip Nguyen told What Now on Wednesday. “We’re hoping to bring a great fast-casual price point to Winter Park. We’re in the area all the time, and we’re really excited to get open.”
The menu features street fare like Street Tacos with chicken, pork, crispy tofu, or fish bites, Banh Mi, and Baos. Viet-Nomz takes a build-your-own approach to its soups and bowls, but there are also Signature Bowls like the “What The Pho?!” (Vietnamese chicken pho broth with chicken, *eye round, beef balls and your selection of fresh vegetables at our Herb Bar), the Hangover Cure (Vietnamese vegetarian pho broth with *eye round, beef balls, brisket, carrots, enoki mushroom, bok choy and your selection of fresh vegetables at our Herb Bar), and the Nomz-ster Bowl (Extra Large grilled chicken and pork, served with jasmine rice, fried egg*, Nom-Nom & Spicy-Nom sauce).
Nguyen says the restaurant will open with the same menu, but some new dishes are to come in the future, and some past favorites will be making a comeback.
“We’re in a bigger space now. It’s actually double the size. So we’ll be working on some new menu items.”
Additionally, Nguyen adds, Viet-Nomz is moving forward with its vision of promoting from within and building leadership out of its own team.
“This is the first store where we’re able to bring in a manager who has been with us for a long time, as a partner. That’s one of our goals, to develop our own leadership and core team, and it’s really cool.”
