Something new and exciting is getting ready to make Jersey diners’ heads spin. Kura Revolving Sushi, a concept that combines innovation, whimsy, and delicious food into one memorable dining experience, is preparing to feed both seasoned fans of the titular dish and those who might be sushi curious by setting up stakes in Freehold, reports local media outlet WPST.

The restaurant will be setting up its kitchen as part of the Freehold Raceway Mall, located at 3710 Route 9. Kura Revolving Sushi will be occupying space L208 on the second floor of the shopping mecca, nestled between XR Legends and the Cheesecake Factory. It is not yet clear when the establishment will be prepared to greet guests; both the Kura and the Freehold Raceway Mall websites list it only as “coming soon”.

Kura Revolving Sushi has become an international sensation since its earliest incarnation opened in Japan in 1977. The restaurant has charmed diners through its unusual approach to dining; customers receive their food via conveyor belts and a helpful robot named KuraB the Kurabot. Guests can receive prizes after a certain number of plates are returned.
