Philadelphia is preparing to welcome an expanding French bakery concept. La Madeleine is actively seeking franchise opportunities in the City of Brotherly Love, with the intention of opening between 12 and 15 locations.

Senior Director of Franchise Development Mark Ramage spoke with What Now Philadelphia about bringing the unique concept to the Philly dining scene. No specific locations have been selected yet, however, Ramage and company believe the city is ripe for development. “We haven’t identified any specific local cities but that’s to come” states Ramage, adding “It’s a great city, but we’ve also noticed that the greater Philadelphia area is underserved for our particular concept. We’re looking forward to introducing the area to our French cuisine.”

Philadelphians unfamiliar with the La Madeleine brand can look forward to superior dishes, made well and with the best ingredients. Ramage explains: “We serve approachable French cuisine made with simple fresh ingredients and time honored recipes. We serve all day breakfast, soups, salads, with a traditional bakery display with french bread.”

An opening schedule for future stores remains nebulous. Le Madeleine has not yet selected franchisees or locations. Ramage states that the opening timeline hinges largely on conversations with investors.

Ramage states that La Madeleine is looking forward to bringing its product to Philadelphia stating “It’s a great city to come to-we’re definitely looking forward to bringing our French style of cuisine to the area.”
