One of the country’s coziest restaurant concepts is bringing good food and mountain vibes to New Jersey next fall. Lazy Dog Restaurant is bringing all of the comfort and charm of the Rocky Mountains to Lawrenceville residents, reports Patch.
The eatery, known for recreating the warmth and ambiance of a lodge, will be taking over the storefront last occupied by Houlihan’s at the Mercer on One mall, located at 3357 Brunswick Pike. Lazy Dog will have a dedicated 8,511 square feet of real estate for greeting and serving hungry customers. A precise opening date is not yet available, however developers Federal Realty Investment Trust anticipate an autumn of 2025 opening.
The Lawrenceville location will be Lazy Dog’s second foray into the Garden State. A Moorestown Lazy Dog has been in development and is also aiming for a 2025 opening.
Founded in 2003, Lazy Dog is largely concentrated in California, however is making moves towards branching out. The concept puts great care into its cuisine, sourcing its ingredients locally and crafting rotating menus to best take advantage of seasonal produce. Year round options feature elevated interpretations of pub favorites, including burgers, bowl, and soups.
