Taylor Chip has secured its first Philadelphia location. Owners Doug and Sara Taylor have signed the lease for a storefront at 1807 Chestnut Street. The pair hope to open its doors by either late September or early October.

The Taylors are currently going through the zoning process for the building. Doug, who spoke to What Now Philadelphia about the endeavor, explains that the facility needs some renovation. “It’s just a vanilla box right now, so there’s a lot of work. The structure is there, the electric is there, so the construction can be done pretty quickly.”

Visitors to Taylor Chip can anticipate enjoying delicious, fresh cookies, made with natural ingredients. However, the Taylors aren’t limiting themselves to their signature item. Doug states “We’ve been working since 2019 on a centralized manufacturing center. Hopefully it will be up and running by the time we open and we’ll have a full line of ice cream available.”

The Taylors intend to make their ice cream from Lancaster milk. The line will include 24 flavors of the dairy treat.

The company also carries its own line of coffee and offers an impressive array of java and tea drinks.

The Taylors have expansion plans. The duo are currently finalizing two further unspecified locations within Philadelphia county. Taylor suggests the agreements for the additional stores should be finalizes within a couple of months for one and early next year for the other.

The Taylors use a corporate structure to ensure every customer has a consistently quality visit.

Taylor Chip currently has stores open in Lancaster, Gordonville, and Hershey. The brand offers a wide array of cookies and features gluten-free and vegan options. Doug recommends new customers try the s’mores cookie, a filled treat made with house-made fluff.

Doug says visitors to Taylor Chip can expect “a dessert experience. And we want to be the best doing that. We’ve been working on our plan since 2019 and we pride ourselves on our customer service.”
