Two concepts will share one counter in Lawrenceville this summer.
The Belt, a new concept from partners Brandon Sakelaridos, Mike Dalewitz and Joel Rosenthal, is headed to Quaker Bridge Mall with a menu centered on hand-carved sandwiches and smash burgers.
The team chose Quaker Bridge Mall for its first location because it aligns with its vision of delivering “everyone’s favorite sandwiches and smashburgers” in a quick, convenient setting, according to a press release.
Executive Chef Sakelaridos will craft both menus using high-quality ingredients.
The Belt: Hand Carved features deli-style sandwiches made with freshly carved pastrami, brisket, corned beef and turkey, along with New Jersey sloppy joes, Reubens, Rachels and specialty melts. Guests can also order the restaurant’s signature Brisket Cheesesteak, topped with caramelized onions and Cooper Sharp cheese on a seeded roll.
Smashed by The Belt offers smashed Angus beef patties served as singles or doubles, along with specialty options such as the Fire Smash, made with Nashville-seasoned beef, shaved jalapeños and hot honey. Vegan options are also available, and guests can pair their burgers with fries, tater tots or seasoned hot tots.
Chef Sakelaridos began his culinary career in 2004, spending a decade working as a line cook and sous chef before taking his first executive chef role at DiFebo’s in Bethany Beach, Delaware. He later led culinary programs for several All In Hospitality concepts and helped revitalize Hamilton Tap & Grill by transforming it into a scratch kitchen focused on locally sourced ingredients.
In 2025, he founded Delaware Valley Restaurant Solutions and joined The Borscht Belt team to oversee growth and operations across multiple concepts. He now leads development of The Belt.
The team plans to open The Belt in July. Visit the website and follow along on Instagram for the latest updates.
