Tempe is about to get a little sweeter.
Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams is preparing to open its first Tempe location at 740 S. Mill Ave., Suite D110, according to information shared with What Now Phoenix by the company.
While an opening date has not yet been announced, the company expects to share additional details about the Mill Avenue shop in the coming months.
The upcoming shop will be a company-owned location and marks another expansion for the Ohio-based brand, which has built a national following for its inventive flavors and scratch-made approach to ice cream.
Founded in 2002 by James Beard Award-winning ice cream maker Jeni Britton, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams has spent more than two decades redefining what premium ice cream can be.
The company creates its ice creams entirely from scratch using Jeni Britton’s signature recipe, developed to deliver a smooth, buttercream-like texture and bold, distinctive flavors.
Jeni’s menu features a mix of signature and seasonal flavors, with current offerings including Brambleberry Crisp, Wildberry Lavender, Matchapolitan, and Gooey Butter Cake.
The Mill Avenue shop will introduce Jeni’s signature scoop shop experience to Tempe, giving local residents and Arizona State University students another destination for the brand’s award-winning ice creams.
