A spot for beer and bites looks to be opening near the mall in the future.
The owner of a new restaurant and bar Sabor and Beer recently submitted a liquor license application for his space coming to 2270 N 75th Avenue, Suite 101. This is the first concept of its kind. As the application was just submitted to the city, an opening date has not yet been announced.
While a menu hasn’t been released, it is known that both drinks and food will be served. Local Jorge Agustin Santoyo is listed as the owner of the new location, and he is also listed as the head chef at Tortas Ahogadas George at 9550 W Van Buren Street #17 in Tolleson. What Now Phoenix has reached out to the owner and is awaiting comment.
“We are a family from Jalisco, Mexico and we serve the most authentic Mexican food,” says the description on the Tortas website. Dishes served at the restaurant include torta ahoghadas, tacos dorados and meduno.
Sabor and Beer is opening at the intersection of W Encanto Boulevard, close to Kahu Hawaiian BBQ. It also joins the plaza with a Five Below and AT&T Store. Sabor and Beer is right across the street from the mall on Encanto.
As it gets closer to the opening, more information will be revealed by the team. What Now Phoenix has reached out to Santoyo, and this article may be updated.
