SUSHISAMBA will open at The Lakefront at Scottsdale, a redevelopment at 7501 E. McCormick Parkway, according to a media advisory from developer Diversified Partners. An opening date has not been announced.
Ahead of The Lakefront’s September 24 groundbreaking, Diversified Partners announced SUSHISAMBA as one of three food and beverage tenants. The redevelopment covers about 100,000 square feet on a waterfront property first developed in 1978.
SUSHISAMBA’s menu reflects the history of Japanese immigration to South America. As Japanese communities formed in Brazil and Peru in the early 20th century, their cooking became part of the local food culture. The restaurant takes that exchange as its starting point.
Sushi and raw seafood share the menu with charcoal-grilled dishes and larger plates that lean more heavily into Brazilian and Peruvian flavors. Multi-course tasting menus are also available, including vegetarian and gluten-free versions.
SUSHISAMBA currently has U.S. restaurants in Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Scottsdale will be its third location in the country.
SUSHISAMBA has not released a Scottsdale menu or shared details about the restaurant’s design. Follow SUSHISAMBA on Instagram for opening updates.
