ALDI to Open Newest Store in Mesa, Arizona

ALDI continues its expansion plan in Arizona with the upcoming opening of a new store. The store opens at 1045 S. Gilbert Road on Thursday, May 21. The smaller-format layout is designed to help shoppers navigate the store more efficiently.
The Mesa opening is a part of ALDI’s expansion plans to grow to 3,200 stores across the U.S. by the end of 2028. The store will open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
“At our new Mesa ALDI store, shoppers will notice a smaller, easy-to-shop store layout filled with a carefully selected range of products to provide them with exactly what they need,” said Shawn Eddy, regional vice president for ALDI. “As more people look for better ways to stretch their dollar further, we’re excited to bring quality groceries at the lowest possible prices to Mesa.”
Features of the Store

The new store is designed to make shopping simple and affordable. It aims to help shoppers find what they need quickly while keeping prices low. It also uses ALDI’s quarter-cart system, where customers deposit a quarter to use a cart and receive it back upon return.
Customers bag their own groceries, a practice that helps keep operating costs down. The store also features about 90% of ALDI brand products, which include fresh produce, meats, seafood, and cheese.
Opening Event Highlights
To celebrate the opening of the new Mesa store, ALDI is hosting a ribbon-cutting event. It will also give gift bags with ALDI products to the first 200 customers. Customers can also get a gift card through the ALDI Golden Ticket giveaway.
ALDI, one of the fastest-growing U.S. retailers, serves millions of customers nationwide each month. It operates with simplicity and efficiency to give customers great products. It also helps customers save time with grocery delivery and curbside pickup at most locations.
The new Mesa location reflects ALDI’s continued growth across the country. The store is expected to draw shoppers seeking a low-cost grocery option in the Mesa area.
