A new bar called After Ours is coming to the Sullivan’s Gulch neighborhood
The new bar is to be at 2226 NE Broadway on the northeast side of town. This is the location of Scholar Amaro Bar and Restaurant, which is listed as temporarily closed. Comments for the project are due June 22, and there is no word on an estimate of opening.
The team behind the project are Michael Nguyen, Kimberly Dam and Richard Le. Nguyen is the co-owner of Index PDX, a shoe store selling brand sneakers. He is also involved in Deadstock Coffee & Gallery, a sneaker-themed coffee shop.
Before Scholar Amaro Bar closed, it served items like pastas, pizzas, salads and breakfast options. As there is space for a kitchen, this may be utilized by After Ours. A menu for this new restaurant has not been listed.
The hours of operation applied for are everyday 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. It will be going in next to Costello’s Cafe and Bakery and Heavenly Creatures wine bar. There are many other bars and restaurants on NE Broadway.
